Mount Fuji

On my trip in 2009, I never saw Fuji, despite that were several days of sun when I was close enough so that the mountain was in the theoretical visible range.

I decided that I could not let this happen again, so I decided to get out to the small town of Kawaguchiko by a lake of the same name, more or less on the foot of the mountain. It was a gorgeous clear-blue day, and out here on this altitude the air was so crisp. So, who knows, maybe I could have seen Fuji from Tokyo Skytree, if I had been there on this day. But why take chances?
