Kanazawa has a castle, and the castle is surrounded by a park. In fact, Kenroku-en was originally part of the castle park, but they are now separated by a road. I had seen sufficiently many castles, so I skipped this one, but there were some nice scenes in the castle park. Like the flowers around the moat.
