| The castle Uwajima-jo is perched on the top of a hill right in the centre of the city. One thing which is a little special with this castle is that this is the original McCoy. Most castles in Japan were burnt down or demolished after the Meiji restoration and later reconstructed. Only 12 original castles remain. | ||
