Busan

Busan is the second biggest city of South Korea. I had not really planned to spend much time here, since I visited Busan on my trip in 1999, but I had to go here to take the ferry over to Japan. When I booked my ticket, I found that the boat was sold out for the first date that was possible for me, so I had to stay for one day in Busan. I did not mind.

Busan is a very stretched-out city, as there is not much land between the mountains and the sea. So rather than growing in all directions, Busan mainly has to grow along the sea.
