Jeju Island

Jeju is an island a little more than 100 km south of the Korean mainland. It's a very popular destination with Koreans, and reportedly the world's busiest airline is the one between Seoul and Jeju. I went to Jeju, since I did not go there on my previous visit to Korea. Also, since I knew it was a tad early in the year to visit Korea, I figured that Jeju would be a little milder. I arrived by boat on Thursday around noon and left with another ferry a little more than 72 hours later.

The main city on Jeju is also called Jeju, or Jeju-shi for Jeju City, and it is on the north coast of the island. This is were the ferry boats arrive. On the south side there is Seogwipo and in between these sits Hallasan, a vulcano, which with its 1950 metres is the highest mountain of South Korea.

WARNING! The last four pictures in this series are from Jeju Love Land an outdoor park in the outskirts of Jeju city. "Love" here is way beyond kissing and holding hands. Sensitive people may find these pictures repulsive. For this reason, I have put these pictures at the end and also distorted them in the thumbnails below. If you don't want to see material that could count as "explicit", you should not go past the picture name Sunset Finale.
