45. The 1368 Steps

In Kotohira there is a major Shinto temple, decidated to the seafarers (despite Kotohira not being on the coast). The complex has several shrines, and to reach the last one, you need to walk 1368 steps, although many pilgrims stop at the main shrine – that's only 803 steps.
