13. Fish Dinner

One night I went to a fish restaurant in Jeju City. As you might see from the picture, it was not particularly elegant in terms of interior. Paper cloth certainly does not have the flavour of luxury.

However, the prices were a different matter. The landlady wanted me to have sashimi, and that was 200 000 to 300 000 won, or some 200 €. I don't mind sashimi for a starter, but not as a main meal. So I settled for this fish, which was still 100 000 won (90  €), still more expensive than any other meal on this trip. To be fair, the fish was really good! Korean food is often very spicy, but this fish was very mild and not spicy at all. And it was my birthday, so there was all reason to have something extra.
