Jeju is an island of some size around 100 km south of the Korean mainland. Jeju is extremely popular with Koreans as a holiday destination, and reportedly the world's busiest flight route is the one between Seoul and Jeju. According to legend, the Jeju population hails from three demigods that rose from three holes in the ground. Shortly thereafter they met with three maidens that had been washed up on the shore. This shrine claims to host the very holes they rose from. |
