6. Bukhansan National Park

As I mentioned, there are mountains in Seoul, and just north to north-east of the city, there is a national park with several peaks and plenty of hiking trails. I made a hike here on my first visit in 1999, and it was a definite highlight of that trip.

There was nothing to stop me from combing back to Bukhansan, although this time I chose a different entrance and different trails. The fact that it was a clear-blue day made the experience even better.
