I spent four days in total in Kyoto, and one of the days I went out of town to the Hiei-zan mountain where there is a
big temple complex, belonging to the Buddhist Tendai sect, that were very influential in medieval times. When I walked
around the temple buildings, I constantly heard this bells, since everyone who walked by it, felt compelled to make it
rings. And once it has been hit, it keeps vibrating for a long time. I came to it when no one had been there for a while,
and I could hardly hear anything. But I could feel it.
