The big forest I saw from TMGB is Meiji-jingu, a large Shinto shrine, dedicated to emperor Meiji who entered the throne some time before 1868 and whose reign lasted to 1912. His name is associated with the Meiji Restoration, which marked the end of the Tokugawa shogun regime. A Sunday like this one, there are lot of people coming to Meiji-jingu, whether it is of religious reason, or just to get a green escape. This is the torii gate that marks the entrance to the park. |
