There are a couple of islands in Dnipro between West and East Kiev. They are mainly unexploited. I took the Metro to Hydropark, which itself is a fairly cheesy area with bars and restaurants. I just followed the path south and I found myself in the forest. But I am still right in Kiev. At the end of the path, I arrived at a fenced area with two large gates. I saw that there was some sign sitting on the gates, but as they were open, I could not read the signs. I noticed that there was a house on the area, but I figured it could still be a public place. I took some steps past the gates. I heard a voice call out, and then there were two barking dogs running towards me. They did not seem to be looking for a playmate... I hastily exited the area, and to make sure that the dogs would get at me, I closed the gate, and now I could read the signs. Beware of the dogs.
