One of the oddest buildings in Kiev is the House of Chimeras, an art nouveau building with some really weird decorations. Visiting this house is not exactly trivial, as there is a high level of security. To wit, the house to the left is the presidential palace. I believe that normally you can walk by, but on this day, the area was sealed off. Most likely this was due to that Angela Merkel was paying a visit.
