Behind the Independence Column there were not one, but two expositions of photos. The photos in the half-circle around the edge are from the Maidan protests, while those lining the path to the column are army propaganda photos from the "liberation" of Slovyansk and Kramatorsk. (I put "liberation" in quotes, since what happened was that the separatists simply fled the towns.)
