I woke up late (my lame excuse is the time-zone difference of one hour between Stockholm and Kiev), and when I arrived to Maidan, the parade on Khreshchatyk had already started. Furthermore, they had sealed off the middle part of the square. The street from my hotel arrives at McDonald's, in the back part of the square. (See the previous pictures.) Thus, my view was not the best. The parade was largely a military parade, which gave me mixed feelings. But it reminded me that I was in a country at war. I gathered from Kyiv Post that there were mixed feelings in Ukraine as well. "Why are these tanks here? They should be at the front in Donbass!".
