So this is the funny thing with Saxon Switzerland. You walk up steep mountains from the river valley, but once you have reached the top, you are looking at flat farmlands with an occasional bluff (steep they are!). The picture may give impression of some state of mist, and indeed there the air was a bit occluded. But not by humidity. As I was walking through the woods up the slope, a strong wind set in, foreboding the incoming colder air and what's in the air is simply the dry soil whirling around. The heatwave was in its last hours.
