A short bus ride from the centre of Stockholm takes you to Hellasgården in Nackareservatet south-east of Stockholm, which is a good area for walking in the forest and other activities. This is in the middle of May (you may note that the leaves on the trees are still in their infancy), and I went here for my first bicycle trip of the year. A board at Hellasgården informed me that the water temperature was 11°C, but I did see some people swimming! (I also had my first dip of the year this day, but in another lake, which might have been slightly warmer.)
