12. Mezhyhirya

Back Main page Fwd
Mezhyhirya was originally a monastery, if memory serves. During the communist era, this was a vacation place for the high-ups, and later the thug Victor Yanukovich was able to make this his private property. When he was washed away with the Orange Revolution, the place became a public park. I was here 2014 as well; there are lots of pictures here. I had hoped that the so-called Honka House would be open for visits this time, but no. Really what this wooden figure is supposed to be I don't recall, but I don't think it is Buddha.
