59. Palace of Culture

When going back home from Lublin, I took the opportunity to spend a few hours in Warsaw. I've been there several times before, but this was the first visit in more than twenty years

When you are in Warsaw it is difficult to avoid the Palace of Culture, a "gift" from the Soviet Union to the Polish people. I recall that when I was in Warsaw in 1993, I found it amusing that they had instlalled a casino, sort of the capitalistic antithesis to communism.
