| I took the teleférico up to Monte, to look at the sights there. Monte is a sort of suburb to Funchal. This is where the wealthy people used to live. Being 500 metres over sea level, Monte is considerably cooler than downtown Funchal. This church is a centrepiece of Monte, but I found it less interesting on the inside. | ||
