26. Korakuen in Okayama

Next stop after Himeji was Okayama, mainly known for its garden Korakuen, rated as one of the top three gardens in Japan. What makes Korakuen special as a Japanese garden is that it was one of the first to make use of big lawns – but that is hardly exotic for me as a European. Add to that the grass was winter brown, to make it even a little more dull. Nevertheless, the garden did offer some nice scenery, not the least suitable for a couple of photos.
