Of all the Zen-Buddhist dry gardens, the one in Ryoan-ji is maybe the most famous. There are 15 rocks in different size spread in groups over a walled gravelled area. The puzzle: the rocks are laid out so that there is no place from which you can see all 15 rocks at the same time.
