The Philosopher's Path is a beautiful walk along a canal in the north-east of Kyoto that eventually leads to Ginkaku-ji, "the Silver Pavilion". The path has its name from a scholar that walked this path daily in the first half of the 20th century. It's a very nice walk, not the least in the cherry-blossom season.
