I've now left Fushimi-Inari behind, and I am now at a famous Kyoto sight: Sanjusangen-do. In this house there are 1001 gilded Kannon statues. (Kannon is some Buddhist deity.) I have no pictures on these statues, as it was not permitted to take photos inside the building. (This is not entirely unusual in Japanese sights. Probably because without it they would never get any throughput if everyone were to take pictures of each other.)
