Lecce is situated on the heel of the Italian boot, and is a true orgy in baroque architecture. In some cases, there appear to be no end of how much you can ornate a building. And most extreme of them all is Basilica di Santa Croce, that took 150 years to complete. Apparently, they did not consider the photographers of the future when the church was laid out in the city plan. It's not by an open square, so it is about impossible to fit the thing in one picture, because of all the other buildings around it.
