In October, I went to Sofia to speak at their SQL Saturday. I travelled in Bulgaria way back in 1995, but on that occasion I ran out of time to see the Rila Monastery, so I decided to remedy that now. I booked myself on a tour, which started on the back of the Alexander Nevsky cathedral, a remarkable building itself.
