5. Drifting Sand

My day in La Camargue started with sun, but the clouds thickened during the afternoon. There was a strong wind for the whole day. (Which might have been a good thing. When it's not windy, there is apparently plenty of mosquitoes.) I walked along the dykes of the biggest lagoon, and when it was time to turn back, I went to the sea and followed the waterline. On my way I passed this sandy beach where the sand was drifting further inwards in the relentless wind.
