If you think of how the Eiffel Tower is built, it's would be kind of difficult to have an lift that goes all the way from the ground to the top floor, and correctly there are two sets of lifts. One that goes in one of the legs of the tower and that takes you to the first two floors, and then the second set runs in the mid-tower to take you to the third floor. Nevertheless, quite a few people were confused when they arrived on the second floor, thinking that they were at the top. Then again, on the second floor you are 80 metres above the ground and you have some quite nice views that you can admire while standing in the queue for the next lift.
