I returned to Toulouse and moved into my room (it had not been ready when I arrived) and from the room I took this picture of the central railway station in Toulouse, known as Toulouse-Matabiau. The hotel offered a surprise: one of the receptionists spoke Swedish very well. Later I heard him helping two Norwegian ladies – still speaking a Scandinavian tongue.
