When I arrived in Bayonne, the rain showers had ceased. There was even some sun, although it was not that warm. The centre of Bayonne is crossed by two rivers: Adour and Nive. Adour is the biggest of the two, and Nive is a tributary to Adour. The old town of Bayonne is right where Nive runs into Adour, and Nive divides the old town into two parts: Grand Bayonne and Petit Bayonne. The railway station, as well as my hotel, is on the other side of Adour, but most of the sights is on the Nive side. Here I am on the side of Petit Bayonne, and captures a view of Grand Bayonne.
