This was one of the highlights of the trip. The trail follows the valley of the Cochamó river up to a place called La Junta, where reportedly fantastic views are to be found. The full trek is 12 km in a single direction, and time did not permit me to go all the way, but I had to turn back earlier. It was still a wonderful walk through temperate rain forests in brilliant sunshine – and the right temperature of just over 20°C. |
