1. House on House

For practical reasons, I broke the journey from Iquique to San Pedro and stayed the night in Calama, an important city for Chile's copper industry, but of little interest for tourists (beyond being a gateway to San Pedro). Before I hopped on the bus to San Pedro, there was a time for a morning walk, and I saw this funny construction with one house on top of another. Not that it is unique; you can find similar things in the pictures from Iquique
