At some point before my trip I was looking at the map, and I happened to see that north of Bahía Blanca there is a town by the name of Tornquist. This is a typical Swedish name, and I said to myself: I just have to go there. And I did. Not there was a lot to see, but an Argentian friend of mine tells me that Tornquist is quite famous in Argentina. In any case, it certainly look pretty and wealthy, And very quiet. This is a statue of the founder Ernesto Tornquist, who himself was born in Baltimore, and according to Wikipedia, the family has roots to Hamburg (where there is a Tornquiststraße, I chanced to see), but also Swedish Karlskrona.
